Only two fatty acids are known to be essential for humans: ALA- alpha-linolenic acid (an omega-3 fatty acid) and LA - linoleic acid (an omega-6 fatty acid).
The oil capsules are unrefrigerated for convenience.
Essential fatty acids are needed for the normal growth and development of children. This effect is obtained with a daily intake of 2 g of Alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) and a daily intake of 10 g of linoleic acid (LA).
Alpha-Linolenic Acid (ALA) contributes to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels at a daily intake of 2 g ALA.
Linoleic acid (LA) contributes to the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels at a daily intake of 10 g LA.
